Changes to Court operations – Portugal

In the wake of increasing coronavirus Covid19 related cases in Portugal, the Portuguese Superior Council of Magistracy has enacted exceptional measures regarding court operations.

Judicial Courts of First Instance will only conduct procedural acts or conduct hearings in relation to cases where fundamental rights are at stake.

Procedural acts and rulings can still take place if they can be performed remotely.
