Portuguese Passport ranks 5th

The Portuguese passport is a top tier travel document, allowing its holders to travel visa-free to 185 jurisdictions and territories – including all countries of the Schengen area. Portugal allows its citizens to have multiple citizenships.

The Portuguese passport allows the same level of freedom of travel as a passport issued by Norway, the Netherlands, Switzerland or the United Kingdom.

The Portuguese passport ranks higher than a passport issued by the United States, Canada or Ireland, for instance.
