Events attended by our team – November 2019

During the last 10 days, GFDL attended and participated in multiple events and conferences covering distinct topics such as Technology or Finance, Blockchain or Cannabis, and Wealth protection and Tax.

It is part of our practice and strategy to attend and speak at key events regarding new and upcoming sectors so that our industry knowledge provides extra value to our clients.

While attending 2019’s Websummit, the world’s largest tech conference, we had the opportunity to meet with several clients congregating in Lisbon for the event. At the same time, GFDL’s team participated at UTRUST’s meetup where Blockchain & Cryptocurrency adoption was discussed by top Portuguese Tech and Venture Capital strategists.

Regarding yet another innovative sector, our team attended the 2019 Portugal Medical Cannabis event, which included conferences, workshops, and parallel sessions. Investment in this sector has increased exponentially since new regulation was passed by the Portuguese government.

Finally, our managing partner was invited as a panelist to provide his view regarding International Perspectives for Blockchain Regulation, during the 2019 Blockchain Forum. The event organized by the Portuguese Blockchain Alliance and took place at the Tivoli BBVA Theater.
