DeFi in Emerging Markets

We are pleased to share that João G. Gil Figueira, Partner at GFDL Advogados, was invited to lecture a class on Decentralized Finance (DeFi) in the Context of Emerging Markets as part of the “Doing Business in Emerging Markets” postgraduate program at Law School of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. This was the first edition of the post graduation.

This insightful session was an opportunity to explore how DeFi is reshaping financial ecosystems in developing economies, offering new solutions for accessibility, transparency, and efficiency in global markets. João provided expert analysis on the regulatory landscape, technological advancements, and business opportunities that DeFi presents in these regions.
